Alabama freshman running back EJ Crowell participated in pregame warmups ahead of the Crimson Tide’s season opener versus East Carolina.
Crowell was in full uniform, and he was seen taking handoffs and going out for passes.
According to On3’s Chris Low, Crowell was a true game-time decision coming into Saturday’s game vs East Carolina. The freshman running back has been dealing with an ankle injury this offseason.
On Monday, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb told reporters that he expected that Crowell would be available for the Crimson Tide’s season opener.
Alabama currently has Crowell listed on the depth chart alongside Daniel Hill, Kevin Riley and Trae’Shawn Brown.
Also, AK Dear was seen going through warmups. Dear is not on the depth chart currently because he has been nursing an injury, but he could make his return soon.
East Carolina vs Alabama is scheduled to kickoff at 11:07 a.m. CT. The game will air on ABC.
