Visiting other schools not crossing mind of Alabama OL commit Joseph Ionata

joseph ionata

Joseph Ionata is completely locked in on his future with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Ionata is a 2024 offensive lineman, who is committed to the Tide, and he attends Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, Florida. The senior remains solid with the Crimson Tide with no plans to visit any other programs.

“I am 1,000 percent committed,” Ionata told Touchdown Alabama. “Taking visits at other places doesn’t even cross my mind.”

Alabama currently has commitments from three 2024 offensive linemen with pledges from Ionata, William Sanders and Casey Poe. The trio all have potential to be versatile offensive linemen at the next level. This is a group the Florida product feels has the right mindset.

“I am definitely super excited,” said Ionata when asked about playing with fellow Alabama pledges. “A lot of like-minded guys, who want to win”

Ionata has watched Alabama closely this season, and he likes the progression the team has shown over the course of the season as they look to make a push at an SEC Championship and College Football Playoff berth.

“We are really starting to play to the Bama standard, and if we continue to do that, I don’t think there is anyone that can beat us,” Ionata said.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder is a very active offensive lineman, who is always working to find someone to block. He continues to block down the field and has shown the ability to get to the second level when run-blocking. He also blocks well in space and is solid in pass protection.
