Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith revealed a possible team up was once discussed during the recruiting process.

The two former five-star recruits were members of the 2024 recruiting class. Smith shared the pair discussed teaming up on a visit to Georgia as recruits while talking with Chris Vaninini of The Athletic.

“I tried to get him to,” Williams said. “‘I was like, come on, let’s team up.’ We thought about it. We did think about it.”

Smith and Williams both stole the show last season as a true freshman for their respective teams. Williams finished the season with 865 yards and eight touchdowns on 48 receptions. Smith had 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns on 76 receptions en route to the Buckeyes winning the National Championship.

Looking back, Smith thinks it will be near impossible for a defense to stop him and Williams.

“I don’t even know how you stop that,” Smith said. “I ain’t gonna lie.”
