Jett Thomalla recently flipped his commitment from Iowa State to Alabama.
Thomalla, who attends Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska, is a quarterback the Crimson Tide made a hard push for after offering in May. There are multiple reasons why the Tide chose to prioritize him and some of those reasons were evident when John Teigland, the Director of Quarterback Development at Warren Academy, started to work with Thomalla in middle school.
“Jett from a very young age, just had a very live arm, could really push the ball down the field for a kid his age,” Teigland said. “So right away, the elite arm talent was there. Just a big, lanky kid. I just kind of knew that he needed to grow into his body and get a little bit lighter on his feet. Physically, over the last year or two, he’s really started to fill into his frame and move better and now he’s kind of putting all the pieces together, and it’s all there now.”
