Alabama football’s wide receivers feel the different type of skillsets in the Crimson Tide’s defensive back room make them difficult to compete against.

The Crimson Tide’s secondary is filled with talent and experience across the board with the return of Domani Jackson, DaShawn Jones, Zabien Brown, Keon Sabb, Red Morgan and Bray Hubbard. Cam Calhoun and Dijon Lee have also been welcomed additions.

There are also a few Alabama defensive backs poised to have a bigger impact in 2025. Those players are Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., Zavier Mincey and Kam Howard.

It is easy to make an argument Alabama’s defensive back room will be the Tide’s deepest unit in 2025.

The Tide’s wide receiver, Germie Bernard feels the players in the room force you to stay on your toes and consistently expand your game.

“You got to tune your game and try to find new ways to get open,” Bernard said in the upcoming episode of Alabama Athletics’ “The Bama Standard.”

Ryan Williams has noticed the same thing. He has to approach going up against each one in a different way.

“You got to bring something different for each of them,” Williams said. “You can’t just win the same way, and I think that’s what makes them as an overall group, so good.”

Alabama’s secondary has an opportunity to be one of college football’s best in 2025.
