The high school football season is quickly approaching. The sights and sounds that make high school football inside the state of Alabama must-see TV will be back on display in a matter of weeks. In the meantime, Touchdown Alabama is on the road checking out some of the state’s very best. While on the road, our staff will break down some of the state’s best high school football teams.

Team Summary:

The Cardinals return the majority of their starters from last season, eight from each side of the ball. This team is driven by an explosive offense that averaged 38.4 points per game in 2024. Coach Phillip Rivers is entering his fifth season as a head coach and has seen success each year. They compete in 4A Region 1 and advanced to the semifinals last season.
