Jam Miller is still in ‘high spirits’ ahead of Alabama football’s 2025 season after he suffered an upper-body injury during the Crimson Tide’s second scrimmage.

This update comes from Alabama’s offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb, who was set to feature Miller as the Tide’s top running back on offense throughout the upcoming season.

“Jam, he’s such a stud,” Grubb said. “He’ll be a value to our team no matter what right now, just because of his demeanor and leadership. So, I think that’s one of the things you miss on the field right away, just him being out there. There’s a presence to him when he’s on the field so we’ll certainly miss that, his explosiveness, his running style, all those things will be miss, but he’s been great. I think he’s in high spirits, he knows that this is a temporary setback, and he’ll be ready.”

Grubb and his Crimson Tide’s offense will have to rely on the legs of Daniel Hill, Dre Washington, Richard Young and other Tide running backs to start the season.
