Mac Jones improved to 3-0 as a starter for the San Francisco 49ers this season with a win on Thursday night.
Jones led San Francisco to a 26-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The former Alabama signal caller completed 33 of his 49 passing attempts for 342 yards and two touchdowns.
The 49ers were the first team to put points on the board in the first quarter when Jones hit Jake Tonges for a six-yard score. Jones hit Christian McCaffrey from one yard out in the second quarter to extend San Francisco’s lead to 14-0

The game eventually went to overtime with the 49ers pulling it out with a game-winning field goal and a fourth-down stop.
Jones started against the Rams with Brock Purdy out with a toe injury.
