Alabama football is hosting several transfers this week who Touchdown Alabama has confirmed are either in Tuscaloosa visiting or plan to visit the Tide.
Here is a look at those players:
Hollywood Smoothers
Smothers is a North Carolina State running back transfer. He rushed for 939 yards and six touchdowns on 160 carries in 2025 with the Wolf Pack. He also pulled in 37 receptions for another 189 receiving yards. The Crimson Tide is looking to add talent to its running back room via the portal, with them losing Jam Miller, Dre Washington and Daniel Hill. Alabama is not targeting a depth piece or pieces. It wants immediate contributors here.
Jimothy Lewis
Lewis started in four games for the Mississippi State Bulldogs at offensive tackle during the 2025 football season. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder could give Alabama a mix of youth and potential as he has two years of college football under his belt, but he has three years of eligibility remaining. He played in 11 total games as a member of the Bulldogs’ football team.
Kaden Strayhorn
Strayhorn could be a nice piece for depth and potential. He is coming off his freshman year at Michigan, and he has four years of eligibility remaining after taking a redshirt. He played in two games for Michigan in 2025. His most significant playing time came against Texas in the Citrus Bowl. He did not start the game, but he subbed in at guard due to injuries. The Wolverines were using Strayhorn as a guard and center.
Raleek Brown
Brown is an explosive running back, who rushed for 1,141 yards and four touchdowns for the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2025. He has the potential to make an immediate impact in Tuscaloosa. Targeting him further shows the Tide wants to add explosives running back to this room to help improve its rushing attack.
Devan Thompkins
Thompkins is a USC transfer. He finished his career at USC with 56 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in three years of meaningful action. He had his best season in 2025 when he finished the year with 6.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. Alabama is losing Keon Keeley to the transfer portal, along with the departures of Tim Keenan III and LT Overton. Thompkins could potentially be joining some Alabama defensive linemen, who contributed a lot in 2025 if he were to choose the Tide. Fortunately for Alabama, Kane Wommack has shown the ability to play a deep rotation of defensive linemen.
Caleb Woodson
Woodson is a Virginia Tech transfer linebacker. The Crimson Tide is targeting him play inside linebacker with Deontae Lawson, Nikhai Hill-Green and Justin Jefferson set to move on to the NFL. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker fits into the potential immediate contributor category. He has racked up 152 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and two sacks during three seasons with the Hokies.
