Alabama football is set to host Zaiden Jernigan this weekend after extending an offer to him on Thursday.
Jernigan is a product of Louisville High School in Louisville, Mississippi. He is currently considered the No. 1 running back in the 2028 recruiting class, according to multiple recruiting outlets.
The sophomore is looking forward to getting to Alabama on Sunday and getting a firsthand look at the Crimson Tide.
“I love the program, seeing all of the players that have come through and seeing where the program is heading,” Jernigan told Touchdown Alabama. “I love everything about Alabama.”
Jernigan finished the 2025 season with 1,806 all-purpose yards and 24 total touchdowns. He reports a 4.41 40-yard dash time, and it shows on the field when he explodes into the open field at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds.
“I feel like my speed, power and vision are the strengths of my game,” Jernigan said.
