5 2027 recruits Alabama football is in lead for

Alabama football has worked itself into a great position with a variety of top 2027 recruits.

Here is a look at five 2027 recruits the Crimson Tide is expected to be in the lead for:

Elijah Haven – 5-Star QB

Haven has the Crimson Tide in his top four along with Auburn, Florida and Georgia. The Tide has been trending to be in front for Haven for months. This remains the case after the five-star visited the Tide in January.

“I think very highly of them, and they are definitely still amongst my top schools as of now,” Haven said. “I am just excited to keep building a relationship with them.”

Haven is an effortless thrower of the football who can make all of the throws. He is also an athlete, and his ability to pick up yards with his feet puts that on display.

Antwan Jackson – 4-Star Edge

Jackson remains in consistent contact with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is set to visit Alabama once in the spring, and he is slated to return to Tuscaloosa in May for an official visit after visiting the Tide in January.

At 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, the 2027 recruit finished the 2025 season with 5.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and seven quarterback hurries. He also accounted for 216 receiving yards as a tight end. Alabama has recruited the Tennessee product to play the wolf linebacker position.

Trey Martin – 4-Star RB

Martin will visit Alabama football this spring and will return for an official during the summer. The Tide’s running back coach Robert Gillespie has put the Tide in a good position with the running back.

“Me and Coach G talk a lot,” Martin said. “We’ve built a great relationship over the last few months. So I’m looking forward to visiting.”

At 6-foot and 195 pounds, Martin is an explosive and tenacious runner of the football. He displays great patience and vision when carrying the football, along with impressive balance.

KJ Green – 4-Star Edge

KJ Green is set to unofficially visit the Crimson Tide next week. He will return for an official visit during the summer. The four-star previously said the Tide was the No. 1 team in his recruitment, and there is plenty of reason to believe the Tide remains in this position.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder looks to be a great fit for the Tide’s wolf linebacker position, with the potential to possibly be effective at the bandit position. He is an effective pass rusher with his ability to bend, combine with his athleticism and length. He is also strong at the point of attack against the run.

Avrian Pauley – 3-Star Edge

Avrian named the Crimson Tide his leader after competing at the Under Armour Next Camp in Atlanta. Pauley is a product of McGill-Toolen High School in Alabama, and he has the Tide, Ole Miss, Florida State and others in hot pursuit.

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Pauley has the potential to play multiple positions along the defensive front at the next level with his versatility. Alabama will likely play him at bandit or defensive tackle in Kane Wommack’s 4-2-5 defensive scheme.
