Alabama football got Antwan Jackson back on campus for an unofficial visit last week.
Jackson is one of the Crimson Tide’s top edge targets in the 2027 recruiting class. He attends White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Ole Miss, Florida and Tennessee are some of the other programs making a push for Jackson, alongside the Tide.
The Tide is interested in using the 6-foot-6, 245-pounder as a wolf linebacker. The position is a hybrid linebacker spot within Kane Wommack’s defensive scheme. It is used in a variety of ways to get after the quarterback, play in space and even drop back in coverage at times.
Jackson was impressed with what he saw from the position in Alabama’s scrimmage and with how technical the players at the position played.
“What stood out was how good the defense was looking and how they’re rotating and moving the wolves around, being versatile,” Jackson said.
Alabama remains in a good position with Jackson ahead of his official visit in May.
“They’re definitely one of the top schools in my recruitment for sure,” Jackson previously told Touchdown Alabama.
At 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, the 2027 recruit finished the 2025 season with 5.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and seven quarterback hurries. He also accounted for 216 receiving yards as a tight end. Alabama has recruited the Tennessee product to play the wolf linebacker position.
