Jaden Upshaw told Touchdown Alabama he plans to unofficially visit Alabama football next week ahead of an April 15th commitment date.
Upshaw is a product of Lee County High School in Georgia, and he is a 2027 four-star wide receiver prospect. He is currently considering Alabama, Florida, Miami and Texas A&M.
The Tide has been in constant contact with Upshaw, with Derrick Nix leading their pursuit for the wideout.
“He sends me a little something every day, a (bible) scripture or something,” Upshaw told Touchdown Alabama in March.
Alabama looks to be squarely in the mix for the four-star ahead of his commitment date with an opportunity to make a move for him days before.
It is hard to find a wide receiver who plays with more of an edge than Upshaw. The 6-foot-2, 202-pounder blocks like he generally enjoys getting physical with defensive backs. This, combined with his ability to be tough and explosive after the catch, makes him a talented wideout prospect.
