Lanett 6-foot-5 OL seeing recruitment take shape

Jaylen Hill is feeling his recruitment take shape ahead of what should be a very important summer for him.

Hill is a junior at Lanett High School in Lanett, Alabama, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. The junior holds more than 10 college football offers, including offers from multiple SEC programs. His top five currently consists of a group of intriguing programs.

“I would definitely say my top five for sure is Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Wake Forest and Troy,” Hill told Touchdown Alabama. “Some other schools have been involved, like Clemson and South Florida.”

Arkansas, Mississippi State and Missouri are expected to host Hill for official visits in June. He is working on confirming a date with the  Razorbacks. The Bulldogs will host him on the weekend of June 12 and Missouri will host him on the weekend of June 19.

Hill is eyeing announcing a commitment after taking his official visits and before his senior season.

At 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, Hill was a punishing and dominant blocker for Lanett during the 2025 season. He recorded 67 pancake blocks as a junior. The Lanett product feels his ‘physicality and ability to finish blocks’ are his strengths.
