Alabama football leader does not see loss to Indiana as a low moment

The Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide by a final score of 38-3 in the Rose Bowl last season. 

Alabama entered the matchup with a handful of key injuries at multiple positions. The Tide were unable to perform at a high level throughout any point of the matchup, and Indiana was nothing short of dominant throughout all four quarters of play. 

Alabama defensive back Bray Hubbard was recently asked about last years’ Rose Bowl loss, as Hubbard believes the matchup was an essential learning experience. 

“I don’t even see that as like a low moment. Obviously, it was a tough loss. But you have to learn from your losses just with everything that you experience, whether that’s yourself, whether it’s just guys doing their job.” Hubbard said. “Everybody has to learn from it. And so, I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s a low moment. Obviously, that’s just one step closer to the national championship when you win those games. But overall, you just learn from them.”

Hubbard recorded four interceptions, two sacks and 4.5 TFL in the Tide’s secondary last season. The senior will play an essential role once again in 2026, and Hubbard will look to learn and build from Alabama’s heartbreaking loss to Indiana in January.
