The Alabama Crimson Tide have officially named sophomore Keelon Russell as the starting quarterback entering the 2026 season.

A former five-star plus recruit, Russell was widely regarded as the highest rated player to ever sign with Alabama out of high school. The sophomore flashed major potential in an extremely limited amount of playing time last season, and Russell now finds himself with an excellent opportunity as the Tide’s starting quarterback in year two.
