2 key Alabama defenders now expected to miss South Carolina game

Justin Hill and Desmond Umeozulu are listed as out ahead of the Crimson Tide taking on South Carolina in the initial availibility report for the game.

Hill is a wolf linebacker for the Crimson Tide. Umeozulu is a bandit defender for the Alabama defense. The bandit position is a field side defensive end for Alabama, and the wolf linebacker plays on the edge on the opposite side of Alabama’s defensive front.

Hill has racked up six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack through three games. Umeozulu has six tackles and one tackle for loss to his name this season.

The Tide will take on the Gamecocks at home on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Jeremiah Beaman, Jorden Edmonds, Cayden Jones and Nick Sherman remain out due to previous long-term injuries.
