Rainy conditions forced Alabama to practice indoors Monday, as it begins its final week of fall practice. The Crimson Tide were in full pads for its 13th session, and senior quarterback Jake Coker was no where to been seen during the media’s viewing period.
Quarterbacks
Alec Morris and Cooper Bateman took over in Coker’s absence. David Cornwell and Blake Barnett were both seen in the second group. Quarterbacks worked on deep passes, post routes and quick screens to the inside.
Running backs
Senior running back Kenyan Drake (hamstring) was limited in Monday’s practice. He was seen holding two footballs during the first media viewing period. Drake was wearing a support apparatus on his right leg.
True freshman Damien Harris was behind Derrick Henry in position drills, followed by Ronnie Clark.
Freshman Bo Scarbrough (knee) was limited Monday. He was near the end of the line in position drills.
Wide receivers
Redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Black (ankle) is still limited; however, he did participate in some pass-catching drills. Black went into each drill at half-speed.
Sophomore Robert Foster (sprained knee) led one groups of wideouts. He fully participated in drills.
Offensive linemen
Junior Alphonse “Shank” Taylor got reps in at first-team right guard.
Freshman offensive lineman Lester Cotton returned to practice. He is still working at third-team left tackle.
