Alabama football target and five-star defensive end, Peter Woods told Touchdown Alabama he will announce his commitment on July 8.
Woods is a product of Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. He will choose between Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Jackson State. The five-star prospect previously listed the Crimson Tide, Florida, Clemson and Oklahoma as his final four.
Alabama has been recruiting Woods since he was a freshman. The Thompson product told Touchdown Alabama he had a really strong relationship with the Tide in April.
“It is the longest recruiting relationship I have,” Woods said. “I am an in-state kid, I have a lot of ties to Alabama. I have great relationships with the players, coaches and some of their commits. Relationships are probably the biggest thing for me as far as recruiting goes. I feel I have a really strong relationship with that staff. Another thing about Alabama is that their reputation speaks for itself and what they are able to do with guys at my position is second to none.”
Woods stands at 6-foot-4, and he weighs 250 pounds. He helped Thompson win the 2021 7A state championship by putting constant pressure on the quarterback. He finished the season with 92 tackles and 11 sacks during the 2021 football season,
