He may walk on the wild side, but Alabama football fans appreciate the respect Lane Kiffin has for Nick Saban.
Kiffin sent shots at Jimbo Fisher during Alabama’s bye week as Ole Miss faced Texas A&M.

Mississippi earned a 31-28 victory over the Aggies, improving to 8-1 on the season. People are seeing that Texas A&M’s No. 1 recruiting class for 2022 is not performing the way it should be. Texas A&M is 3-5 on the year and has one conference win. Kiffin told reporters that he wanted to keep defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, but got ‘outbid’ by Fisher. Durkin served Kiffin well for the Rebels, but now he is on Fisher’s staff. Kiffin continues to be the savage of social media as he said, “we tried to keep him… We got outbid. Kind of a common theme with that program.” Kiffin played on the words Coach Saban said in March in discussing how Texas A&M ‘bought every player in its 2022 signing class.’ Fisher responded by calling Saban a ‘narcissist’ in his presser.
Kiffin buried Fisher again in an article from the Clarion-Ledger.
The article talks about how Fisher committed the cardinal sin of coming after Saban. Kiffin, in staying true to form, quote tweeted the article with “Don’t attack the GOAT.” He also wished everyone a Happy Halloween as it is Saban’s 71st birthday.

Kiffin assisted the Tide to three Southeastern Conference Championships (2014-16) and a College Football Playoff National Championship as an offensive coordinator. He helped Derrick Henry become Alabama’s second Heisman winner in 2015.
Some fans would love to see Kiffin return to Tuscaloosa as Alabama’s next head coach when Saban retires.
