D1 offers rolling in for Helena DB Jeremiah Alvis

jeremiah alvis

Jeremiah Alvis picked up his first offer from UAB in February of 2022, and offers have steadily rolled in for the 2025 product.

Alvis attends Helena High School in Helena, Alabama. He currently holds five offers after earning an offer from the Mississippi State Bulldogs during a visit to Starkville Saturday.

“It was a good visit,” Alvis told Touchdown Alabama. “I like the atmosphere there. They are definitely one of the top schools for me now. I really like the coaching staff and coach Brock .”

Penn State, Duke and Missouri join the Blazers and the Bulldogs as programs that have offered Alvis. He is currently receiving interest from Arkansas and South Carolina. Coaches have raved about his ability to be a physical player.

“Coaches like how big and physical I am, and my ball skills,” said Alvis. “I am a big guy, who can keep up with anybody.”

The Helena product said he wants to improve at playing different zone coverages in the future.

It is easy to see why many programs feel Alvis checks the size box. He currently stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs approximately 180 pounds, which is close to the average size of a defensive back at the collegiate level. He plays with an impressive level of physicality as he flows downhill to make tackles. The sophomore displayed impressive technique in coverage and an ability to play different positions within the secondary during the 2022 football season.
