Alabama loses Austin Armstrong to Florida for DC position

One of Alabama’s newest hires for Nick Saban’s coaching staff is on the move.

ESPN’s Chris Low reports that Florida has made it official with Austin Armstrong to replace Patrick Toney as its defensive coordinator. Armstrong was targeted as the primary candidate for the position, but now the move is official.

Armstrong was hired by the Crimson Tide on Feb. 13 to serve as its inside linebackers coach, but now he is gone.

We will see what Saban’s next move is to replace Armstrong.
