Yhonzae Pierre is excited to get to Tuscaloosa to enroll at the University of Alabama in a few weeks.
Pierre is a five-star edge-rusher out of Eufaula High School in Alabama. He signed with Crimson Tide in December and is scheduled to enroll at the University of Alabama as a summer enrollee.
The Alabama signee skyrocketed into five-star status after an impressive senior season for the Tigers. The biggest knock on Pierre was his weight. However, any weight concerns look as if they will be put to rest soon as he looks noticeably bigger at the moment, weighing around ‘220 pounds.’
“I have just been eating right, working out every morning,” Pierre told Touchdown Alabama. “Saturdays, I get up and put an agility workout together.”

The Eufaula product may not have enrolled early, but he is getting a jump start on learning Alabama’s defense along with fellow five-star recruit and Alabama summer enrollee, Keon Keeley.
“Me, coach Hutzler and Keon (Keeley) have been on Zoom calls every other day, just going over plays throughout the week,” said Pierre.
The transition from high school to college is one Pierre hopes goes smoothly. He has plans to improve himself through hard work once he steps on campus.
“I am just going to lock in and be the best person I can be, be better and get better to be in a position that I know I can win,” said Pierre. “Once I get there, they want me to put on more weight and just do everything right to get there.”
Pierre was one of the most explosive edge rushers in high school football last season. His first step off the edge was a thing of beauty as he consistently did damage behind the line of scrimmage throughout the 2022 football season
Alabama will welcome Pierre and three other members of its 2023 recruiting class to campus this summer.
