DeVonta Smith ranks his top five Alabama receivers of all time

Eagles' wide receiver DeVonta Smith (#6) runs with the ball after a catch against the New York Giants in Sunday's matchup.
Bill Streicher - USA TODAY Sports

He is the greatest wide receiver in Alabama football history and one of college football’s most decorative players.

However, DeVonta Smith keeps everything humble. He is the Crimson Tide’s all-time statistical leader for receptions (235), receiving yards (3,965), and touchdown catches (46). Smith put on a clinic in Alabama’s COVID-shorten 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship season. The Louisiana native had 117 catches for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns, becoming the first receiver in school history to win the Heisman Memorial Trophy. Smith caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa in the 2018 CFP National Championship Game (2017 season) against Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

He’s become a superstar in the National Football League, helping the Philadelphia Eagles reach Super Bowl LVII last season.

Smith joined his Eagles’ teammate, Darius Slay, on The Big Slay podcast.

He broke down his top five Alabama receivers of all time. Smith won the Heisman, but he put himself last on the list. He honored Jerry Jeudy (No. 4), Calvin Ridley (No. 3), Amari Cooper (No. 2), and Julio Jones (No. 1) ahead of himself.

After watching his teammate, Jalen Hurts, get paid this offseason, Smith is excited to help the Eagles go after a Super Bowl championship.
