Justin Hill opened up a little about the role NIL has played in his recruitment and how it impacted his Wednesday announcement day.
Hill, who is a 2025 four-star prospect, committed to Alabama over Ohio State, Oregon and USC. Per Hill, there were programs offering him NIL deals, which were going higher on his commitment day.
“It got serious, to the point where I was getting calls about it going higher, literally like an hour before I was had to drive up here to come announce,” Hill said in an interview with Michael Dyer, who is the high school sports reporter for WCPO in Ohio. “Obviously, it didn’t change anything, but it’s definitely just crazy…it’s a crazy thing.”

Alabama was able to hold off the other suitors for Hill and will look to keep him locked in over the next several months.
