He was an electric running back, receiving threat, and return specialist for the University of Alabama in the Nick Saban era, but he now says goodbye to the National Football League after eight seasons.
Kenyan Drake, a native of Powder Springs, Ga., announced his retirement from pro football via his Instagram.
He was selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins after four years in college. Drake spent time with the Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Ravens (twice), Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers. His pro career ends with 3,866 rushing yards, 218 receiving yards, and 40 total touchdowns in 104 games.

Drake was a two-time national champion at Alabama in 2012 (Bowl Championship Series) and 2015 (CFP).
He will forever be remembered for his 95-yard kickoff return touchdown against Clemson in the 2016 CFP National Championship Game (’15 season). Drake had 22 total touchdowns during his career with the Crimson Tide.
It will be interesting to see what the next stage of his life holds for him.
