Jalen Milroe details defensive challenge Tennessee presents Alabama

Jalen Milroe stiff arms on a run against Middle Tennessee

Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide are preparing to take their talents to Neyland Stadium to face the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend in a pivotal conference matchup.

Alabama is looking to put its best foot forward on the road after a victory at home versus South Carolina. Milroe met with media on Tuesday after practice and broke down his preparation as the quarterback acknowledges the level of focus he and Tide will need to play in a rivalry game on the road of this magnitude

“Tennessee is a great football team, especially on my end because I play offense” Milroe said. “Their defense is really talented. They have a lot of guys that play physical. Their box is really good. Their defensive line adds a lot of pressure on the quarterback when it comes to the run game and passing game. So, it’s gonna be big for us to communicate effectively and acknowledge where they’re trying to stunt, where they’re trying to twist and their pressures coming from and what they’re going to try to give us as far as fits as a group. It’s all about preparation and I think we’re doing a really good job just attacking it day by day and just trying to be the best version of ourselves.”

This game will have a huge impact on the race to get to the SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff.
