Former Alabama football quarterback and ESPN’s Greg McElroy listed Ryan Coleman-Williams as an honorable mention on his list of the top 10 wide receivers in college football ahead of the 2026 season.

McElroy listed Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith at No. 1, Miami’s Malachi Toney at No. 2, Florida State’s Duce Robinson at No. 3, Oklahoma’s Isaiah Sategna at No. 4, Michigan’s Andrew Marsh at No. 5, Rutgers’ KJ Duff at No. 6, Texas’ Ryan Wingo at No. 7, Texas’ Cam Coleman at No. 8, Indiana’s Charlie Becker at No. 9 and Notre Dame’s Jordan Faison at No. 10.

Coleman-Williams is coming off a season where he pulled in 49 receptions for 689 yards and four touchdowns. McElroy feels the Alabama native does not belong in his top 10 because of his sophomore season.

“If you look at who he was as a true freshman in 2024, the guy went for over 860 yards and eight touchdowns,” McElroy said. “He was a first-team All-SEC player. He was a second-team All-American, many of which, self included, forecasted him being at worst the second-best receiver in the country going into 2025. Well, if you look at 2025, that’s when things fell off just a little bit. He led the FBS in drops. He had just one 100-yard game all year and kind of disappeared for long stretches of the season when you thought he was going to be the go-to guy for the Alabama offense.”

Coleman-Williams had a strong spring and is looking to use a successful group of spring practices to have a bounce-back junior season.
