Tyler Younger plans to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend, officially visiting the Crimson Tide after reporting an offer on Sunday.
Younger is a rising senior at Greater Atlanta Christian High School in Norcross, Georgia, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. He is currently considering Alabama, Rutgers, UCF and others. The talented edge is not ranked on most recruiting sites at the moment, with him being a rising prospect as a defender.
Younger’s Alabama offer came after he impressed Alabama’s coaching staff at camp. The Tide’s outside linebacker coach Christian Robinson has been leading the Tide’s push for Younger, and Robinson has earned the respect of Younger by impressing him with a pitch about Alabama’s player development.
“They are great,” Younger told Touchdown Alabama. “Coach Robinson even showed me why they are best at developing football players and men to reach my full potential.”
Alabama currently does not hold a commitment from an outside linebacker or edge prospect. However, they are currently recruiting multiple, including Antwan Jackson and Jeremiah Beverley. Younger will be officially visiting the Tide this weekend, alongside Beverley, and Alabama hopes to land both prospects in the future.
At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Younger is an edge defender who shows strength at the point of attack and flashes an ability to make tackles in space. He will have an opportunity to line up at the bandit position or at Wolf linebacker if he were to commit to the Tide.
