Alabama football has added, who Kalen DeBoer describes as the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach Adrian Klemm’s right-hand man, to its staff.
Viane Talamaivao has joined the Tide’s coaching staff. DeBoer shared the news during an appearance on “The Martin Houston Show” on Thursday.
“We brought in his (Klemm) guy he had with him at Oregon,” DeBoer said. “He’s got his right-hand man. When they were together, we faced them, and they had a really good offensive line.”
Talamaivao played for the USC Trojans along the offensive line from 2014 to 2017. He started in 37 games during his time with the Trojans. The new Alabama hire got his coaching start at USC as a co-offensive line coach. He then coached alongside Klemm at Oregon in 2022 before coaching the offensive line at Stanford.
Alabama once held a verbal commitment from Talamaivao.
