Terrion Arnold gets contacted by multiple NFL teams after Lions release him, expected to sign with a team soon

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold (6) talks to running backs coach Tashard Rice at warmup ahead of the Green Bay Packers game at Ford Field in Detroit on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025.

Multiple NFL teams have contacted Terrion Arnold, and he is expected to sign with a team soon after the Detroit Lions released him, per his lawyer. Arnold was released on a $1 million bond earlier this week after he was arrested on multiple felony charges.

The current conditions of Arnold’s bond are no contact with co-defendants or witnesses and surrender of his passport. He is also confined to his residence except for work and legal appointments.

Florida Prosecutors filed a motion for Arnold to wear a GPS ankle monitor following the Lions’ release of the cornerback. Arnold’s lawyer responded to the motion, stating that Arnold is expected to be employed by a new NFL team soon.

“In sum, Mr. Arnold is not a flight risk, nor is he a danger to the community,” Harvey Steinberg, Arnold’s lawyer, wrote. “He is confined to his home by both court conditions and media scrutiny and anticipates that he will have employment with another NFL team within 30 days.”

If Arnold signs with a new team, he will be entering his third season in the league this fall.
