REPORT: New injury update on Alabama five-star freshman

Alabama five-star freshman defensive back Jireh Edwards received some positive news following his injury at practice yesterday.

After undergoing surgery on his arm, there is optimism that Edwards will be able to return early in the season according to a report from CBS Sports.

Despite being just a freshman, Edwards had impressed so far throughout fall camp that he was looked upon as a top reserve option in the secondary. He will now focus on recovery to try and work his way back into the rotation as the start of the regular season rolls around.
