Kalen DeBoer is disappointed in the way the Alabama Crimson Tide ran the football against Texas A&M.

The Tide finished the game with 68 rushing yards as a team. Fortunately for Alabama, it still was able to defeat the Aggies 31-20 despite the underwhelming rushing performance.

Daniel Hill led the Tide in rushing with 36 rushing yards on nine carries, averaging four yards per carry. Trae’Shawn Brown carried the ball seven times and finished the game with 11 rushing yards. Kevin Riley had one carry for four yards.

DeBoer gave his thoughts on the Tide’s rushing attack against Texas A&M after the game.

“Disappointed in the stats,” DeBoer said. “So that’s all you got to really look at, and we need it more out of that run game to open up some things for us. We gotta get back to work and make sure we’re continuing to execute, first of all, and be able to stack some plates on top of each other. It’s okay for a couple yards; we get some negative yards and have guys that are unblocked at the point of attack or falling off blocks. Those are things that we gotta get back to the basics, and we gotta get better at.”

Alabama will have an opportunity to evaluate where its rushing attack is next week during its upcoming BYE week.

The Tide will be back in action on Nov. 7 when Alabama travels to take on LSU on the road.
