Did Indiana HC Curt Cignetti take shot at Alabama No. 5 CFP ranking?

Curt Cignetti feels there is some SEC bias on the ESPN staff.

Cignetti expressed these thoughts while talking about the College Football Playoff and specifically pointing out that there were some two-loss Big Ten teams not as high as some SEC teams.

“SEC gets a lot of love from ESPN, and all their writers that they don’t technically pay, but march to their drum,” Cignetti said. “So, and that’s why you see all these SEC teams up there, and some good two-loss teams from the Big Ten, not quite as high. But like I said, it’s all going to be played out on the field.”

Alabama is the highest-ranked two-loss team in the rankings at No. 5. There are six two-loss SEC teams in the current College Football Playoff rankings.

Indiana defeated Alabama in the Rose Bowl last season en route to winning the National Championship.
