Notes on Mac Jones, Taulia Tagovailoa and UA’s defense from Tuesday’s practice

Brian Pride - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

After dealing with the rain on Monday, Alabama football returned to practice outdoors on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide is hosting Arkansas this weekend for homecoming at Bryant-Denny Stadium and despite not having Tua Tagovailoa (ankle) at quarterback, the team is highly confident in Mac Jones. Jones, a redshirt sophomore, is in his third season with the program and thoroughly understands the playbook.

Following a strong performance versus Tennessee, Alabama looks for Terrell Lewis and the edge rushers on defense to affect Nick Starkel and the passing game of the Razorbacks.
