After getting its second-round pick in Josh Uche of Michigan under contract, the New England Patriots took care of Anfernee Jennings on Thursday. According to Aaron Wilson, who covers the Houston Texans for the Houston Chronicle, the Patriots inked Jennings to a four-year deal.

The former Alabama linebacker signed for $4.3 million with a signing bonus of $903,179.
Jennings is set to make $835,795 this season, per Spotrac. He was selected at No. 87 overall (third round) in the NFL Draft, following a strong senior season with the Crimson Tide.
He totaled 83 tackles – including team-highs in tackles for loss (12.5) and sacks (eight).
Jennings also had five pass breakups, eight quarterback hurries and one interception, to help Alabama finish the 2019 season in the top-20 nationally for scoring defense and total defense.
New England picked one of the Tide’s most productive leaders and he will take over the role once filled by Kyle Van Noy at outside linebacker.
