Pro Football Focus has provided Alabama’s defense with motivation for this season.

The website shared its list of top-five edge rushers returning to college football, and it omitted both William Anderson and Christopher Allen of the Crimson Tide.

Anderson, a sophomore, was the Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year in 2020.

Allen, a redshirt senior, had a dominant year in 2020. He was healthy for the first time since his freshman year and led the Southeastern Conference in tackles for loss (13). Allen had six sacks, five quarterback pressures, and two forced fumbles.

After seeing PFF’s list, Malachi Moore, DeMarcco Hellams, and Chris Owens responded on Twitter.
