Former Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson weighs in at NFL Combine

Mark J. Rebilas - USA TODAY Sports

Special teams, running backs and offensive linemen arrived at Lucas Oil Stadium for the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday. Following registration, medical testings and a few interviews, offensive tackle Cam Robinson was among the first of his position group that weighed in today—two days before workouts.

Robinson’s measurables from his weigh in

Size: 6-foot-6, 322 pounds

Arms: 35 ½”

Hands: 10 ½”

The Monroe, La., native was listed at 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds during his junior year at the University of Alabama in 2016. After clearing the way for four 500-plus yard rushers and a 1,000-yard back in Damien Harris (1,037), Robinson earned the Outland Trophy, Southeastern Conference’s Jacobs Blocking Trophy and an unanimous All-American status. He set the edge for former Crimson Tide ball carrier Derrick Henry in 2015, as he totaled 2,219 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns on 395 attempts to win the Heisman Trophy.

Robinson also served as a solid pass protector, aiding two quarterbacks to 3,000-yard seasons—Blake Sims and Jacob Coker—while helping Jalen Hurts total 2,780 passing yards, 943 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns.

A three-time SEC champion and College Football Playoff national champion in 2015, Robinson earned a grade of 6.16 from NFL.com. Per the league’s grading scale, Robinson’s score indicates that he has potential to be a “good NFL starter.” Currently, he’s being compared to ex-Hurricanes standout and New York Giants offensive lineman Ereck Flowers. According to CBS’ NFL Draft Tracker, Robinson is the No. 2 offensive tackle prospect and 25th overall player in the class.

He will move to the bench press on Thursday, before facing on-field workouts on Friday.
