Former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback, Jalen Hurts, continues to show everyone how good of a teammate he is as he puts his team before himself once again.

Hurts’ paternal grandfather passed away on Jan. 13 and his funeral was held on Wednesday. Instead of going back home to attend his grandfather’s funeral, Hurts stayed in Mobile, Alabama, to practice with his Senior Bowl teammates. NFL Network reporter, Tom Pelissero, said Hurts’ mother, Pamela Hurts, expressed to him that Jalen is a ‘team player’ and is ‘team-oriented’.

“He has worked all his life to get here and this is a critical time,” Pamela Hurts said.

The Texas native has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft after being a Heisman Finalist for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2019.
