Before he enters the National Football League, following two years at the University of Alabama, Landon Dickerson is doing something that further enhances the love and appreciation the program and its fans have for him.
After anchoring an offensive unit that carried the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship, the North Carolina native has turned his attention to a family in need. Captain Brian Wolnewitz, a firefighter for Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, was diagnosed with Stage Four Lung Cancer on Jan. 2.
In partnership with Fire Fighters to the Rescue, Dickerson is having a fundraiser and will raffle off his infamous “Bama Bumper.” The bumper has been signed by Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith, Najee Harris, Alex Leatherwood, and Thomas Fletcher.
Along with the bumper, an authentic game-worn helmet signed by the 2020 national title team will also be raffled off. All of the proceeds will go to help the Wolnewitz family.
