Bryce Young is back at the University of Alabama as the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
He looks to have another great season to position himself as the No. 1 pick for the 2023 NFL Draft. As he eyes a chance to win a College Football Playoff National Championship as a starting quarterback, Jalen Milroe is locking up the primary backup role.
The sophomore from Texas has performed well in spring practice, and Nick Saban is encouraged by his growth as a passer.
Milroe, a four-star in the 2021 class, is a dynamic athlete. He is a true dual-threat quarterback, but he possesses an arm that is capable of making every throw. The 6-foot-2, 212-pounder has improved his accuracy, timing, precision, and ball placement on passes in the offseason. Milroe did not see many opportunities in 2021, but the Tide has to incorporate his skill set more this fall.
He has the potential to be elite in 2023 as a starter, but Alabama needs to see what it has in Milroe.
Brandon Williams, COO of Touchdown Alabama Magazine, returned with a video about the sophomore. He is excited about Milroe and explains why Crimson Tide fans need to get hyped about him.
