Alabama LB Will Anderson named SEC Co-defensive player of the week from Vanderbilt game

Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was selected as the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The conference honor is the sixth of his career and the Crimson Tide’s third this season.

  • Spent the night in the backfield, helping to limit Vandy to just three points and 129 yards of total offense
  • Recorded a team-high 3.0 tackles for loss (-17 yards) and 2.5 sacks (-16 yards)
  • Finished with five total tackles across his 24 snaps on defense
