Casey Poe earned an offer from Alabama football Saturday from the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach Eric Wolford.

Poe attends Lindale High School in Texas, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. He currently holds offers from Oklahoma, Auburn and others.

The Texas product said he felt ‘pure excitement’ when Alabama offered him.

“Alabama has always been a school my family and I have followed, so this was a really big one,” Poe told Touchdown Alabama. “It is a very solid program and a largely respected coaching staff. The culture is very strong, and the pillars that it is grounded in are amazing examples of how a program should be run.”

Poe is a fan of Nick Saban’s coaching style.

“I love his coaching style,” said Poe. “It’s very old school. Coach hard but love your players more.”

At 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds, Poe is a multi-sport athlete. He has experience playing tackle and guard. Wolford told Poe he feels he is one of the top offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class.

“He said that he thought I was one of the top guys in my class,” said Poe. “Then he explained the extensive recruiting process that takes place at Alabama, leading to an offer.”
