In response to a tweet from Pro Football Focus asking where Jalen Hurts ranks as an NFL quarterback, Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs said that he sees him as the fifth best.
The two are quite familiar with one another and were teammates for three seasons in Tuscaloosa from 2016-2018. They were both selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Diggs was chosen 51st and Hurts 53rd.
They also play in the same division facing off twice a year. Diggs has 12 solo tackles, 3 assists, and 4 interceptions in 5 games against the Eagles in his career. Hurts has 832 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions in 4 games against the Cowboys in his career. In their matchups, Diggs has picked off Hurts twice, including a pick-six early in the 2021 season.
