People can use Nick Saban’s age to negatively recruit against him, but the National Football League says otherwise.

The 71-year-old may have his greatest recruiting tool to date with NFL’s Top 100 players list. In a countdown voted on by the players, the University of Alabama had the most athletes named of any school. Alabama had 13 alums voted to the top 100, including quarterback Jalen Hurts at No. 3. The Crimson Tide had two quarterbacks (Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa), two running backs (Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs), two wide receivers (DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle), a linebacker (C.J. Mosley), two defensive linemen (Jonathan Allen, Quinnen Williams), three cornerbacks (Patrick Surtain II, Marlon Humphrey, and Trevon Diggs), and a safety (Minkah Fitzpatrick) on the list. It missed an offensive lineman and a tight end in terms of marquee skilled players.

Recruits want the best route to the NFL, and Alabama is consistently showing it is.
