He remains with the Carolina Panthers after a good preseason. Ray, a former University of Alabama defensive end, landed on the 53-man roster for the Panthers. He endured injuries during his time with the Crimson Tide, but this is an incredible story for him.

Ray came to Alabama as a five-star in the 2017 class. He would assist the Tide to two College Football Playoff National Championships in 2017 and 2020. Ray was set to play for the Philadelphia Stars in the United States Football League (USFL) until the Panthers came calling. He joins Bryce Young, Bradley Bozeman, and Deonte Brown in Carolina.
