Jalen Milroe received a signed jersey from Russell Wilson ahead of his rookie season.
Wilson is regarded as one of the greatest signal callers in Seahawks’ franchise history after he started out as a third-round draft pick, like Milroe.
Wilson went on to serve as Seattle’s quarterback for 10 seasons and collected nine Pro Bowls, while leading the franchise to a Super Bowl XLVII victory over the Denver Broncos in 2013.
Nearly 15 years later, Wilson appears to be passing the torch to the former Alabama quarterback ahead of his first preseason game in the NFL on Thursday.

The gift appears to be part of a Fanatics promotion where various NFL rookies were surprised with personalized video messages and autographed jerseys from past and present NFL stars.
Milroe now hopes to have a similar success story of his own in Seattle like Wilson.
