Former Alabama quarterback, Mac Jones is back in the starting lineup for the San Francisco 49ers for Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams in place of Brock Purdy, who’s been officially ruled out due to a toe injury, the team announced Wednesday.
Jones is expected to make his third start of the season through the 49ers’ first five games.
The quarterback has engineered San Francisco to two wins over the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints as a starter this season. He has thrown for four touchdowns and 563 yards in those games.
Kickoff for the 49ers-Rams is set for 7:15 p.m. CST. The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.
