Alabama football’s quarterback, Ty Simpson is on track to be a top NFL Draft prospect, thanks to the way he has played as of late.
Simpson has been highly efficient throughout the season, throwing for 1,478 yards and 13 touchdowns while completing 70 percent of his passes. His play has helped the Tide win four straight games since falling to Florida State to open the season. His current production has some feeling he is a Heisman Trophy favorite and a possible first-round draft pick.
One anonymous NFL area scout told ESPN’s Jordan Reid Simpson has a solid shot at becoming a first-round pick.
“He’s grown on me a lot over these past few weeks,” an AFC area scout said. “I think he has a chance to get into the Round 1 discussion if he stays on this current trajectory.”
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson recently projected Simpson would be drafted by the Los Angeles Rams as the No. 25 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft in his latest mock draft.
Simpson remains focused on helping Alabama go ‘1-0’ every week as the Tide prepare to take on Missouri on the road this weekend.
