Another Iron Bowl clash took place at the 2o26 Senior Bowl on Wednesday between Alabama defensive lineman and Auburn offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright.
Both have a healthy amount to prove this week which has invited seniors from across the country to participate in order to help boost their draft status in front of scouts ahead of the NFL Draft. Overton and Wright were each called upon for one-on-one drills near the end of the day which resulted in a clash that captured everyone’s attention.
It wasn’t quite the performance Overton would have hoped for as Wright ultimately ended as the victor, but each flashed what they could provide teams at the next level in the quick rep.

After transferring from Texas A&M, Overton played two seasons for the Crimson Tide serving as a starter both years. The former five-star recruit showed flashed of dominance at times, but ultimately lacked the consistency to be recognized as an elite defender in the SEC. During his two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Overton finished with 84 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and six sacks.
Although the production wasn’t quite there, Overton hopes to put things together at the next level and continue to impress the front offices watching on ahead of the draft in April.
